House of the Dragon Trailer: Game of Thrones Prequel Unveils Information on the plot, Battle for Succession

House of the Dragon premieres on August 22nd at 8pm on Disney+ Hotstar in India.

House of the Dragon -an upcoming sequel to TV show Game of Thrones — now has a trailer that is official. HBO released the trailer in advance of the panel it will be hosting at San Diego Comic-Con, and confirmed that its forthcoming Westeros series will make use of various time-hopping techniques to convey the story. This House of the Dragon plot is based upon the writer George RR Martin’s novel ‘Fire and Blood novel, and takes place centuries prior to the events in “Fire and Ice.’ This Game of Thrones spin-off will premiere the 21st of August on HBO Max and on the 22nd of August at Disney+ Hotstar in India.

In the House of the Dragon trailer, we are told we learn that Daemon was the King’s son and Rhaenyra is his son born to him. This is the beginning of the conflict in the storyas Daemon must choose between his brother, which is in violation of the law — or his bloodchild, which is the daughter of a woman.

“I won’t be forced to decide between my brother or my child,” says the king in a discussion with his council members in the House of the Dragon trailer. The medieval setting has the same plot beats in regards to succession, and women are automatically deemed ineligible to run the kingdom. “A woman cannot be able to inherit the Iron Throne, because that is how things work,” Rhaenyra is told in the first House of the Dragon trailer scene.
