Meesho Records Close to 87.6 Lakh Orders Day 1 of 5-Day Festive Sales

Meesho had the highest sales in categories such as fashion, beauty, personal care and electronics accessories.

Softbank-backed ecommerce firm Meesho said Saturday that it saw a roughly 80 percent increase in business, with nearly 87.6 million orders on Friday, the first day for its festive season sale.

According to the company, Tier 2, 3, and 4 cities account for approximately 85 percent of all orders on day 1.

” Meesho recorded a record number of orders around 87.6 million on the first day its flagship holiday sale event, the Meesho Mega Blockbuster Sale. The statement stated that this is the largest number of orders the company has ever received in one day, up around 80 percent from the previous year’s sale.

According to the company, it received orders from far-flung areas of the country, including Alappuzha and Chhindwara as well as Davengere, Davengere and Hassan.

It stated that the sale was a good example of Meesho’s goal to make e-commerce accessible for all, with a large selection of over 6.5 million active product listings at low prices.

According to the company, fashion, beauty & personal, home & cooking, and electronic accessories were the most popular categories. Consumers bought everything from analogue watches to jewellery sets to mobile covers and cases, Bluetooth headphones, Bluetooth headphones, choppers, and peelers in record numbers to fulfill their holiday shopping needs.

“With 85 percent of orders coming from Tier 2 cities and 75 percent of sellers from Tier 2, we are humbled to be able to make a profound impact in the most remote corners of the country.

“We will continue promoting the discovery of hyperlocal products and businesses, empower MSMEs, and further increase accessibility and affordability for our heterogeneous consumer base,” Meesho CXO Business Utkrishta Kumar stated.
