Nike opens its first store in Bronx

Nike officially opened its first shop in the North Bronx. It also has stores throughout New York City’s five boroughs.

The new retail location is located at 340 Baychester Avenue. It is one of Nike’s Unite concept shops, which sell sportswear and are a hub for the community. Unite stores, in particular, “aim to promote exercise while honoring local sports heroes and giving more children the chance to exercise so that they can live happier, better lives.”

The North Bronx location will have styles for everyone in the community, regardless of age or gender. The store will have fleece hoodies for children, men and women, and women’s basics such as the Tempo Running shorts and Indy Bras. In addition to the Force 1 for children, the store will feature footwear that is performance-oriented and lifestyle-friendly such as the Air Force 1 High and Air Force 1 SE for adults.

Nike Unite, in its community mission, has partnered up with community organizations to distribute 650 Back to School Kits, including Global Kids and Earl Monroe New Renaissance Basketball School.

This concept store joins many other Nike Unite retail locations, including in Florida, New Jersey and Maryland. Nike offers many other retail concepts, including Nike House of Innovation and Nike Rise.
